We recognise our resource usage and waste not only comes from our in-house operations, but also our supply and distribution chains. We take responsibility for it all, end-to-end.
We understand that caring for our environment means providing products and services based on Environmental Profit and Loss, which includes avoiding pollution and ensuring full biodegradability.
We are proactively working towards our targets to minimise and ultimately remove our petrochemical usage and carbon footprint. On this journey, we’ve taken the following steps:
Liquids
It’s do or dye, and the choice is clear! We’ve opted for purity over posing, by avoiding all added colourants and the side effects resulting from their production and mixing with paintwork, driveways and wastewater.
We’ve naturally forgone the popular option of adding unnecessary water and fillers, formulating all our liquid products for maximum levels of concentration and purity.
Whilst optimising performance, it avoids shipping unnecessary water around the world. In return, please allow a little extra shake and patience to take care of any increased viscosity (product thickness) at lower temperatures.
Irritated skin? The Earth’s surface feels your pain! Our liquids are formulated without the use of SLES, SLS, dioxan, sulphates, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide.
Wherever possible, our products are pH-Neutral and fully biodegradable. Further details are available on each product page.
Solids
All our 500ml containers are made from 100% start-of-life Bioplastic that is derived from 100% biodegradable plant-based matter such as corn, sugar and potatoes, rather than fossil fuel.
All our 5L containers, 500ml lids and 5L lids are made from 100% recyclable material and we are working hard to bring a Bioplastic version to market.
All our wax tins are made from 100% recycled aluminium.
Please remove labels after use and sort for recycling to give all our containers a new life!
Packaging
All our air pouches are inflated on-site and are made from 100% biodegradable Bioplastic.
All our boxes are made from 100% biodegradable recycled cardboard. We use 100% compostable Ecotape that is made from plants, not plastic.
Please either re-use or sort for recycling to give all our packaging a new life!
In-store, all our carrier bags are made from 100% biodegradable Bioplastic. Our printer paper, till roll as well as loo roll make all our cheeks smile with 100% biodegradable recycled material.
As a green incentive, we offer collection in store for all orders from our HQ in Crewe.
Operations
Our first Cheshire based store uses 100% renewable ‘green’ energy and is 100% fitted with energy efficient LED lighting, with occupancy-based switches.
Our state-of-the art pressure washer uses the latest in high-efficiency electric immersion heating, rather than burning diesel.
Please note that all our products are animal- and cruelty-free. Our products do not contain any animal products such as animal fat, skin or hair. Our products are thoroughly tested, on vehicles, not animals.
